Pep Talk: When you’re blue, you know how to comfort yourself better than anyone else does. Put on those sweat pants, pop some kettle corn, and break out your favorite DVDs. Make yourself happy and safe while you recover. You’ll be feeling better and back in the game in no time.

Meet your needs THEN save the world.

Pep Talk: Are you meeting your needs? That’s what’s most important. I know people need a lot from you, but how are you going to help anybody if you starve to death or go crazy? As they say in airplanes, put your mask on first. Take care of yourself so you can be available to care for others.

Pep Talk: Things will turn out alright even if you go easy on yourself. There’s no rule that says you have to self impose a ton of pressure and be stressed out all the time in order to succeed. You will have a good, happy, fulfilling life. It’s going to happen because you’re already living it. Enjoy the moment and see your worries for what they really are: imaginary.
