You’re not defined by what you did.

OK, so you acted out of character. You did something shocking and unpredictable. People were surprised and you were uncomfortable. You’re multidimensional, so this kind of thing is bound to happen every once in a great while, but yes, I understand that it’s off-putting. This is not an across the board bad thing. This is a chance for you to learn more about yourself. What about this action scared you? Is it a good, horizon-expanding scared or a bad, never-speak-of-this-again scared? Either way, it’s over, so that’s a relief. You never have to repeat this action if you don’t want to and, if it hurt you or others, you can do your best to make amends. You’re still you. Still lovable and beautiful and precious. That will never ever change.
