How did that dickwad take up so much of my attention? When am I going to be able to smile genuinely again? How could I allow someone that far into my heart? Soon though, you start to feel hearty again and you’re ready to test the waters of l-o-v-e. Once you’re comfortable trusting a new person, you can distinguish between them and your last heartbreak. Have you ever listened to the lyrics from Billy Joel’s Innocent Man? You can’t punish the new guy for the sins of the the last one. You’re an individual and a remarkably smart one at that. You learn from past loves and build your knowledge with every new relationship.
