I’m a firm believer in the “zero tolerance for standerupperers” policy. I think if they can’t be counted on to call when they say they will, they can’t be trusted and don’t deserve any further communication with you. Some people think this policy is too harsh and give repentant offenders the benefit of the doubt. If that’s you, you have a kind heart and someone will be so very lucky to love you… But it’s probably not this asshole. If they’re suddenly concerned with whether or not you’re mad at them, then they should have honored the plans you two made, no matter how soft or tentative. Not doing so is disrespectful and it’s unacceptable. Whatever your personal stance is on no-call-no-show daters, please believe you deserve better. Today remind yourself: It’s a privilege to date me.
