- Pep talk: I can think no instance when it's appropriate to get into a shouting match with a hobo. (I'm using this example because I just witnessed it.) You have way too much at stake to fight with someone who has nothing to lose. In fact, there are very few times when yelling is the best choice. You were raised better than to scream at strangers.
