There’s a time for thrift.
Pep Talk: If you’ve ever contemplated discount surgery, this pep is for you. I too am compulsively thrifty. I understand the impulse to shop around for the best price and, because so many off brand items are of comparable quality to name brand, it often makes great sense to do so. There are instances, however, when you just have to bite the bullet and pay full price. You probably shouldn’t skimp when you’re buying things that go into your eyes or onto your face… but God, having just typed that, I can think of 3 beauty products for under $10 that I recommend. Well, certainly you want to spend top dollar on items that could explode or catch fire and on the things that protect you from things that explode or catch fire, right? You deserve a full price fire extinguisher. I’m sure there are other times when it’s not in your best interest to be frugal, but fire safety is plenty for now. You’re worth every penny, my little goldfish.
