Do yourself a favor and listen to Katie Thompson.
OMG she’s so fucking fierce. Go on Pandora or where ever you get music and find her!
She’s furthest right. The guy in this pic used to be my manager at Pier 1. fun fact.
I could go for a float and a bucket of extra tasty crispy.
Glazed over...
… in the artistic sense.
I love crafts.

It's just a crush, let's not jump to any...
Pep talk: It can be nice to have a crush on someone, especially when you’re bored and you want something to daydream about. Other times, crushing can be the most fucking obnoxious thing ever. It really depends on the power you grant your imagination. In your crush fantasy, (s)he is perfect. In real life, (s)he’s human and capable of saying stupid shit, looking at other pretties, and...

LOOK AT BANNER, MICHAEL!

You're not less when you're sick.
Pep talk: Hey sicky, I'm sorry to hear you're sick. You know, even though I just called you "sicky", your illness is not your identity. Yes, your fighting spirit gives others hope and inspires the caretaker in us all, but you're valuable and worthy of respect for all the reasons you've ever been! You're not less when you're ill. Anyhow, I wish you a wonderfully cheery day where you feel strong and valid... there's no reason you shouldn't have that everyday.
Today remind yourself: I'm not less when I'm sick.

You can respectfully disagree and move on.
Pep Talk: Every individual’s situation is personal and unique. You are open to some things other people find unacceptable and, conversely, you wouldn’t dream of doing some of the things they do. Everyone has beliefs and a history that shape their opinions. Just because our positions differ, doesn’t mean we can’t talk and be friendly.

Ooo pretty
You can decide.
Pep talk: "I don't know. What do you wanna do?" Sometimes you just don't have an opinion. That's cool. You're easy going. If no one makes a decision and it falls to you, consider it an honor. Just pick whatever. If you're there, it'll be a good time.
Today remind yourself: I can decide.
DailyPepTalkFromaBestFriend.com turns 1!
Holy crap, you guys! I’ve been pepping everyday for a year. I want to thank everybody who reads my stuff. It feels so good to write these and it means so much that people read them. Thank you for spreading the word about the benefits of positive self talk. I really really love you!
OK, full disclosure time. I’ve been so hesitant to post about this because I didn’t want to jinx...

Cute and smart, just like you.
Bad days, I banish thee!
Pep Talk: Declaring that an entire day is “bad” is like stereotyping each moment contained therein. It sucks to have a full on bad day, so stop having them by breaking your day down into more manageable, fun size chunks. If one moment is terrible, then that moment gets quarantined so it cannot infect the other happy, hopeful, healthy moments to come.
Today remind yourself: Bad days, I...
If he's not dead, he's stupid.
Pep Talk: You met a great guy. You really hit it off. Things were progressing beautifully. Then suddenly he's gone. Plans- cancelled! Texts- ignored! Maybe he's really busy... but no, he just updated his facebook. Ok, well, let's stay calm and look at what matters. At this point, it really doesn't matter what he's feeling/thinking when you're feeling blue. He doesn't have what it takes to date you. He may be a wonderful guy, but he's not giving you what you need. You deserve to be a priority. You are a fucking amazing catch and I feel bad for this guy that he's missing it.
Today remind yourself: If (s)he's not dead, (s)he's stupid.

Ok, no more Freeze Tag EVER..
You're flipping out for a good reason.
Pep Talk: Changes that are positive can also be stressful. Go ahead, freak the fuck out. Feel your nerves, scream a bit, let your hands shake, but also try to recognize the total joy at the core of these reactions. This is crazy good. This is what you want.
Today remind yourself: I’m flipping out for a good reason.

Thank you so much Mo_leigh and Rachel114 for the good reviews! I’m assuming you don’t want hand jobs, but I’ve been wrong before. Can I interest you in a high five?
